Welcome to Grace United Methodist Church!
Our intimate 8:30 a.m. service is held in our chapel and offers communion every week. If you are looking for a quieter worship option, this smaller space is perfect for you.
The 10:30 a.m. service takes place in our sanctuary and is streamed live on our Facebook page. Our traditional music is full of passion and exuberance thanks to our large choir and beautiful organ. Children’s Church is offered after the children’s message for kids in kindergarten up to 5th grade. Students can leave the sanctuary and attend an age-appropriate message and prayer time in our chapel with our Safe Gatherings certified volunteers.
We are a church that welcomes anyone and everyone. We seek to reflect the diversity of St. Louis in socioeconomic status, family structure, ethnicity, learning abilities, gender, belief systems and sexual orientation. We believe that every individual - child and adult - who comes to Grace UMC is a child of God with a unique identity and a singular experience deserving of respect, and we welcome them to worship and learn with us.
We LOVE families at Grace. We believe that our younger participants are not the church of the future, they ARE the church, which is why you may frequently find one of Pastor Katie’s children sitting with her up front during worship.
For children 4 and under, we have a nursery with Safe Gatherings certified staff for both our 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship service. During the school year, we have multiple Sunday School classes offered at 9:30 a.m. During our 10:30 a.m. worship service, we have a Children’s Church option that allows students from kindergarten up to 5th grade to leave after the children’s message and attend an age-appropriate message and worship time in our chapel with Safe Gatherings certified staff and volunteers. If you are visiting for the first time, make sure to say hi to Pastor Katie: she has a special gift for your child.
Check out our Ministries page to learn more about all the options we have for all ages.
We welcome all of God’s beloved in whatever you want to wear. On any Sunday you will see a variety of outfits, from princess dresses on our younger participants, to jeans and T-shirts on our college students, to business casual. Our choir and minister wear a robe, but luckily you don’t have to.
(We do suggest if you decide to wear a Chicago Cubs Baseball jersey, be prepared to have a shout-out from our die-hard Cardinals fan pastor. )
On Sunday morning you can park on the street or in our lot on Skinker Blvd. next to Snarfs. (Don’t worry! You’ll see signs as you drive towards the church pointing you in the right direction.) If you have special needs, feel free to park in the parking lot by the church office doors off Waterman Blvd. Non-drivers can take the MetroLink Blue Line Train to the Skinker Station at Forest Park Parkway. The church is one block north of the station on the corner of Skinker and Waterman Blvd.
